The Downtown Cabaret Children’s Theatre is pleased to announce our 29th Children’s season! We are ecstatic about our upcoming productions and it is with sheer delight that we share our exciting 2010/2011 lineup with you!

Frakenstein the Halloween Comedy (October 16 – 31, 2010). It's Halloween he jinks at Dracula's castle, where "Batty Granny" and her "Dracky Baby" are plotting and planning to make little orphan Heidi into a Halloween Heidi pic. Horrors! Worry not! Dracky is a big failure as a vampire and that's where the fun begins!

Rumpelstiltskin (January 15 – February 20, 2011). The classic story of a magic little man who can turn straw into gold!

Jack and the Beanstalk (March 5 – April 10, 2011).. Fe, Fi, Fo, Fum! A Giant of an adventure awaits you at the top of the beanstalk!

Goldilocks (April 16 – May 22, 2011). The Three Bears are in for a surprise, and so are YOU in this fun-filled version of the classic tale

A quick word about the final show of this season, Cinderella. Renowned Broadway performer, Director, and Choreographer Tony Parise will return to the Cabaret with his brand new version of the classic fairytale. Here’s a little teaser…

CINDERELLA GIRL ...a modern day fairy tale
What happens when the pages of a classic fairy tale and the pages of Vogue collide? Throw in a teen idol and a reality TV show and you’ve got CINDERELLA GIRL. This imaginative version of the classic Cinderella story has everything you would expect, a poor girl under the thumb of a wicked stepmother, her spoiled stepsisters, a prince, and a happy ending. But it also breaks convention, and there are plenty of surprises around every corner! Set in a modern fantastical world, CINDERELLA GIRL is fast-paced and loaded with spoofs from pop culture. The score is witty, running the gamut from hip hop to heartfelt ballads that will have you rooting for our Girl. This show has something for everyone of all ages!

Sincerely Yours,

Hugh Hallinan
