From
Black Suits and Mop Tops to the Lonely Hearts Club Band
She Loves You
March 19 - April 13, 2008
Presented
by The Downtown Cabaret Theatre
in association with The Manhattan Center
"She
Loves You" is a musical tribute show to the Beatles featuring
original "Beatlemania" cast members David Leon and
Alan LeBoeuf. David Leon played John Lennon in the movie. Set
in the intimately distinctive setting of the Downtown Cabaret
Theatre in Bridgeport, CT, "She Loves You" will be
a unique Beatles experience different than all the other Beatles
tribute bands of today.
Ed Sullivan
acts as the host of the show, guiding the audience through the
various stages of life and musical success of the Beatles during
the revolutionary 60's era. Via classic video footage from the
original "Ed Sullivan Variety Show," the audience
will be taken back in time and guided through the 1960's "decade
of love" set to a "live" musical performance
of the world's greatest band, "The Beatles."
Performing
live onstage will be four of the world's preeminent Beatle musicians
and look-alikes who will be dressed in vintage costuming from
the era, as they perform almost 2 hours of historic Beatles'
music. Also, through the use of classic TV commercials directly
from the 1960's, the audience will be guaranteed an evening
full of laughter and entertainment as they take an audio and
visual trip back in time.
"
And
you know that can't be bad!"
