Lance Anthony played the bumbling Friday and the southern
Leland Cypress in The Littlest Christmas Tree. Hes always
enjoyed doing theatre for kids, playing a variety of roles from
Captain Hook in Peter Pan to the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland.
Lance was also a core member of Kid Connection, an educational
theatre troupe which tours elementary schools in Indiana (thats
where hes from!) Hes glad to be back onstage for his
favorite audience!
Bert Bernardi is the recipient of the Connecticut Critics
Circle Award for Outstanding Contribution to Theatre. Some of
his favorite Children's Company roles include the Stepmother in
Cinderella Skeleton, Rumplestiltskin, The Grandfather in Heidi
and Glinda the Good Witch in Wizard of Oz. This is Bert's twenty-sixth
season as artistic director of the Children's Company!
Shannon Bolcer is thrilled to be making her debut at DCT.
A graduate of NYU with a BFT in
Drama, she was recently seen in the Warner Theatre's production
of Proof as Catherine.
Other recent credits: Cinderella (Cinderella), Charlotte's Web
(Gander), Oklahoma (Vivian),
and last season's Christmas Carol at the Westport Country Playhouse
(Christmas Future).
Love to her amazingly supportive family and friends and special
thanks to Bert for this
wonderful opportunity!
Kara Burgess is excited to be making her DCT debut! She
is 12 years old, lives in Woodbury and
is a 7th grader at Amity Middle School Bethany. Kara studies voice
with Kristin Huffman, acting
with Gary Nastu and dance at the Performing Arts Center of Connecticut
in Trumbull. She attends musical theatre classes at Music Theatre
of Connecticut in Westport. She enjoys riding her horse and is
an avid reader.
Vanessa David has appeared in many DCT Children's Company
shows: Peter Rabbit, Goldilocks
and Hansel and Gretel among them. She is also a playwright, her
plays have been produced in
Connectciut, New York, Boston and Portland, Oregon! Her favorite
role is Mamma Rabbit to her
3-year-old angora rabbit, Nutmeg.
Elissa Demaria is very excited to be back for her third
DCT show having been seen in Beauty
and the Beast and Oliver Twist. She is a senior at Fairfield Warde
and Regional Center for
the Arts. Next up, she will play Jo in Little Women. Elissa has
also been seen in Sweet Charity
(Charity), Ragtime (Emma Goldman) and How to Succeed...(Rosemary).

Molly Garbe is thrilled to be working at the DCT! She is
currently taking the year off from Fordham University (Lincoln
Center). She was recently seen in Shelton Youth CONNection's production
of Kismet (Lalume.) Other credits: Little Women (Beth), Urinetown
(Little Sally), Ragtime (Mother), Urinetown (Hope). In January,
Molly will go on tour with Windwood Theatrical's Little Women
the Musical. Much love to her family. This one's for Lily.
Pamela Nastu Garrett is thrilled to return to the DCT stage!
She has been seen in countless productions here including The
Wicked Witch in Wizard of Oz, The Evil Queen in Snow White, Chaka
Kahn in Jungle Book, Katrina Van Tassel in Legend of Sleepy Hollow
and many, many more!
Gloria Glynn is happy to be back playing with the kids
at the Cabaret, she was seen here
years ago in A Christmas Carol and Cinderella. Since then, many
plays, films, commercials
and even a few soap appearances have graced Gloria's resume. Primarily
working in NYC,
she's company manager for the Emerging Artists Theatre Co. and
studies with George
DiCenzo. "Thanks to Bert, Jimmy and the rest of the gang
for bringing some added joy
to my holiday season!"
Marc Guerrette is thrilled to return to the Cabaret stage
for Auntie Claus. Over 25 years and
too many roles to count, he hopes you enjoy these!
Andrew Hendrick is proud to be appearing in his first DCT
show! Credits include Little Women,
Pippin, Beauty and the Beast (Lumiere), Sweet Charity, Hello Dolly,
Into the Woods, Camelot,
Jekyll and Hyde, Les Miserables, How to Succeed, Once Upon a Matress
and many more.
He studies voice with J. Scott Handley and majors in musical theatre
at the Regional Center
for the Arts.
Phill Hill graduated from Elon University in 2005 with
a degree in Theatrical Production/Design. For two years he was
the production stage manager for the Warehouse Theatre in Greenville,
SC, stage managing such productions as A Doll's House, The Subject
Was Roses, Plaza Suite and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. He also worked
for the Lakes Region Summer Theatre in 2004 and 2005 where he
stage managed Chicago, My Fair Lady and Phantom.
Jimmy Johansmeyer is not only
our resident costume designer...he is also our resident villain!
His roles here include Bill Sykes in Oliver Twist, Tall Bony
Jane in Cinderella Skeleton, Long John Silver in Treasure Island,
the Troll in 3 Billy Goats Gruff, Dracula and everyone's favorite,
Lord Licorice in Christmas in Candyland. This is Jimmy's thirteen
season with DCT!
Miranda Card Lampke is delighted to make her debut at
the Downtown Cabaret. This past year she performed To Kill a
Mockingbird (Scout; director: Jason Summers) and The Last Christmas
Pageant Ever (Imogene Herdman; director: Jerry Goehring). Miranda
also appeared in Tony Kushner and Maurice Sendaks Brundibar
and Comedy on the Bridge at Yale Repertory Theater under Tony
Tacone. Miranda is grateful to the support of her friends, family
and coaches at Broadway Artists Alliance.
Cameron Phillips is thrilled to
be in a DCT show for the first time this holiday season. Some
roles he's played include Malvolio in Twelfth Night, Tony in
You Can't Take It With You and the Artful Dodger in Oliver!
Tip of the hat to his parrot, Skeet, for all his encouragement
and support.
Brendan Quinn is excited to be back at DCT, previously
appearing in Treasure Island (Jim) and
was featured in Oliver Twist. He has appeared in Arsenic and
Old Lace, Babes in Toyland (Tommy)and Into the Woods (Jack)
at the Playhouse on the Green, as well as many performancs at
thePalace in Stamford and with the New Canaan town players.
With Fairfield Teen Theatre: Into theWoods, Suessical, Beauty
and the Beast. With Fairfield Warde High School: Camelot, Hello
Dolly,Our Town, The Miracle Worker and Pride and Prejudice.
He hopes to continue acting through college and beyond.
Scott Simonelli is thrilled to have written and performed
the music for Witchypoo. His past collaborations with Bert Bernardi
include last season's Beauty and the Beast, Oliver Twist and
Cinderella Skeleton. Over the years, Scott has played in several
bands, taught music and worked for Sony Music. Scott would like
to thank Mary, Sean and Seamus for listening through the floor.
Maria Vee This is Maria's eighth season with DCT. Some
favorite roles include Queen Frostine in the Candylands, Heidi,
Lucy in Dracula and Souflee/Mrs. Pots and Pans in Beauty and
the Beast, as well as half a dozen different wacky fairies.She
has performed around the country, teaches drama, and is on a
quest to sample every type of cheese known to man.
